Prof. Valina Geropanta, Dipl. Arch. Engineer, Ma, PhD
Valina Geropanta is Greek-born architect with a background in urban studies, urban planning, and ICT, and IOT. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Crete, in the Urban Planning with the ICT sector (In TUC she works in the School of Architecture).
She is the author of scientific publications oriented always on the topic of the use of ICT in the built space and its impact on cities and contemporary culture. She collaborates also with Guglielmo Marconi University in Rome, where she consults to the design thesis sector of Smart Technologies applications in office buildings, domestic spaces, retail and recreation spaces in the international Master MID. From 2015, she has been involved in the internationalization strategy of GMU’s R&D Department, working on establishing international research partnerships about smart city projects, International Didactic Collaborations, Analysis and the study of the digital transformation processes with Big Data.
